Confused about transfer...

Congratulations! What were your SAT scores, if you don't mind sharing? And what did you do in high school and college? And what kind of college did you come from?

I'm sorry to ask so many questions; I just want to make sure that I have the right criteria for transferring. Not that there is right criteria... I'm just nervous.

Champ, Berkeley doesn't even ask for HS grades or SATs. You could have dropped out of HS in 10th grade, gotten a GED, then gone to a CC for 2 years and still gone to Berkeley. You have all the opportunities in the world.

JTloverYorS, I wasnt referring to you sorry if you thought i was, but either way as soon as you get 30 credits HS GPA is very unimportant.. colleges really don't care what you did in high school if you are doing great in college. As was stated above do good in college and you can go anywhere you want.

Grant, Congrats!!

It's alright. Sorry, it was just post after post and I was wondering why I was being accused of having a 2.9 GPA, hahaha.... Yeah, I just hope they realize how hard people have worked to maintain GPAs.

SATS: 700v/650m/590w
Univ: U Maine
Activities: football/weightlifting/volunteer/few clubs
Awards: uh, in HS I was a finalist in a state speach contest and Deans list (haha needless to say not much)
I think another thing that helped me was I had some gr8 recs. My macro teacher really liked me, I tried hard in the class, participated alot and got the highest score on every exam ;). Also I didnt do it just for brownosing, it was my fav class so that helps.

Also I had a 4.0 first semester and on my midterm grade report for cornell (get as close to a 4.0 as you can if u have a low hs gpa)
