<p>You can and should get your teachers and counselors started on recs now, even if that’s before you send in the rest of your apps on the common app. You can invite them through the common app before finishing the rest of the application sections. You can also send in your SATs now, if you want. You don’t need to wait until your app is in. The collegeboard and the recs will all have enough identifying info on them that the colleges will match them to you once your app shows up.</p>
