Confused...any advice?

Hey,
This is my second year at a community college. I hope to transfer to the University of Arizona in the fall of '08. By that time I will be a junior, but I'd like to live on campus (at least for the first semester) just to get a feel of the school's environment. I know freshmen typically live in dorms, and I was wondering if upperclassmen lived in dorms as well. I'm also leaning towards getting a single dorm over having a roommate.

I'd like to meet people closer to my age, and I just didn't want to feel left out from the people in my age group. I guess overall I just feel kind of alone and I also would like to improve my social life by living on-campus...any advice?

Thanks!

Upperclassmen do live in dorms, depending on the school. It varies. I've found that different schools really vary with their housing. Some offer upperclassmen apartments, some dorms. It's a mixed bag.

You might also want to post your question about housing options on the UofA forum here on cc.

Living on campus is one way of connecting, if that is an option at UofA. Other great options include joining clubs, organizations, community service groups; having an on-campus job; seeking out study groups in some of your classes.

Have an "open door" policy when you first arrive at your dorm/suite - post a big sign on your door, "Come in, I have brownies/candy/cookies....," on move-in day.
