Confused, any input would be greatly appreciated

I'm having a hard time decided between Harvard and Yale. I'm interested in Economics and International Studies (taking East-Asian Languages). I visited the Yale campus and loved it, but due to finances I was unable to visit Harvard. Any personal opinions about which school has the better program or better experience for undergrads? Sorry this thread is vague, my head has just been spinning recently and I'd love any and all opinions. Thanks much.

You poor schmuck. We all feel sorry for you for having to make such a tough decision about where to rest your silver spoon. Thurston Howell III was a Harvard man. Need I say more?

I did not mean for it to appear that way. Sorry if I was out of place for asking for opinions. I just thought this might be the best way for me to get some feedback. My bad.

well, I don't know alot about either school... but from what I've heard Harvard focuses alot more on their grad students, although who can beat Cambridge as a college town? I know a few people who are either currently attending or will attend both schools next year- the Harvard students seem much more interesting and multi-dimensional, while Yale students seem to be purely academic.

good luck with your decision!

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it!

I was just kidding. We're all envious. You must have studied very hard. Best wishes, and never forget that you're the luckiest S.0.B. in the world.

P.S. It's Harvard in a landslide, because you won't get winged in a drive-by, if for no other reason.

harvard, seriously.

yale is great, but harvard's got the name..............trust me, go to harvard.

keep in mind though that at harvard you cannot currently have a double concentration...so you couldnt major in both of those fields.

But overall, just apply EA to the school that you like better.

(Someone correct me if I'm wrong but,) I've heard that Harvard is very competitive between students, and I also seem to have the opinion that Yale is less so. So it depends what atmosphere you are going for.

(Again, somebody, correct me if I am wrong because I would like to know myself.)

Both are great schools.

Most cross-admits pick Harvard. But I think I would pick Yale. They seem to have more undergraduate focus. You can't really go wrong.

both are incredible and very much an honor to attend. Both my cousins go to Harvard, and there is no question that Harvard speaks volumes just in the name itself, also opens MANY doors for you. All around the world, everyone knows the name Harvard, and its just about the best school and most highly regarded out there next to IIT! If you have gotten in, then by all means, take advantage of an incredible opportunity. I have a few emails from current students there if you want to talk to someone actually going there now. Good luck!

i dont know but everyone seems to be saying harvards got the name, which it does, but hell, so does yale...i meen harvard is most peoples #1, but yale is right there too. id choose yale personally, just my personal prefference, but either way your a lucky guy.
