Please can someone explain to me how taking the SATI/IIs works from abroad?

I read somewhere that the SAT1 has to be taken on a different date from the subject tests - is this true?

Also how many subject test can be taken in one sitting? Is it two? Is it only Princeton and Harvard that require 3 subject test?

What is the SAT latest testing date for regular decision?

Also, finally, if applying as a relatively well-chanced international student for Ivy and similar institutions (the average anyway), is it better to apply RD or ED/EA with regards to improved admissions chances?

Any responses would be great. Thanks!

Yes, each test date (once a month) you can only take an SAT I or up to 3 SAT IIs

You can take 1, 2 or 3 subject tests but I’d recommend taking just one per unless you feel really prepared. By the third test you could be really wiped out, so that’s not advisable.

You could hypothetically take the November date, and some schools may even allow the December.

ED significantly ups your chances as a qualified student. It won’t make them take you if you’re unqualified but it allows them to give themselves a solid student body without worrying about yield. EA is much less helpful as far as improved admissions. However, this is just about chances – whether ED makes financial sense or strategic sense in a specific case is a whole other story.
