Confused Filmmaker

Hello :)

I'm a filmmaker, 15 years old, a junior in high school. Now, this might sound odd, but here's my question:

What's a good major for a filmmaker in college?

I know you might be saying, "Film Production, duh.", but for other reasons that are too lengthy to discuss here, I do not want to go to film school. What are some good skills to learn in college for a filmmaker?

Separate Question:

I'm also a singer - either classical voice or popular varieties are good for me. Of course, film is my first and foremost love, but I enjoy singing too. Would it be good to major in a singing-related course and create films on the side? Or would it only serve to distract me from film?

Thank you so much! This means a ton :)

I’m confused - why major in music but not film? Both have relatively the same job-prospects post college. I’m all for going to school for your passion, but your logic seems a little funky.

To answer your question: maybe Communications, English, Journalism, Business (you can learn how to finance for your film)?
