Im new to the website but i was wonder a few things...I applied ED II to pomona and was wondering a few questions,
1. on the class profile http://www.pomona.edu/ADWR/Admissions/Forms/2011profile.pdf it says that 19% are students witha a non-college parent. My parents both went to community college for one year and dropped out...so neither has a degree in anything. I was wondering if i would be considered part of this percent or if i would be considered first generation..?
i was also ondering if it said anywhere the acceptance rates for first genration students compared with the rest and also the acceptance rates when in different states.? thanks for any assistance.

Don't know exactly how they count it, but you and your application are the more important factors. I think it would be clear from your app that they don't have college degrees, so that the admissions staff understands that you are not coming from a family background with a lot of college grads.

For example, if you are using Common App, that would be very clear.

In other words, don't worry too much about it.
