Confused! Help please.

Hi, I have recalculated my academic core GPA and I have a 3.5. I also know that FSU adds 0.5 points to the GPA for honor courses, so do I literally add .5 points to it for every honor class as long as I have a C? So if I have 3 honor classes, I have a 5.0 GPA? I know I'm wrong so can someone please correct me? Thanks.

I would think you add .5 to the individual classes then recalculate the overall GPA. For instance if you had 10 classes and had a 4.0 in 5 of them and a 3.0 in 5 of them, that would give you a 3.5. (53 + 54 = 35. 35/10=3.5) If you add .5 for 3 of the classes you would have 36.5. 36.5/10 = 3.65.

Its fine you jusy mixed up the math a little bit you at 0.5 to the individual grade not the overall g.p.a

Like lets say in math(honors) you get a C that C would be a 2.0 but because its honors you add a 0.5 and that C in math becomes a 2.50 so technically that C becomes a B but do you understand it now or still confusing

So if I have a 3.0 for a B in history honors that now becomes a 3.5 and so on for every class?

Yes, that is correct.

Add a full point for AP classes.
