What is the most you can miss on the multiple choice to get an 800 on that subscore (without the essay factored in)? What about the number you can miss on MC to get an 800 with an 11 on the essay?

I can't provide any specific numbers, but I can give you my stats as I just dug them up:

12 on the essay, 8 wrong the MC.

This was in June 2003... thank heavens for the ability to scribble quickly, hehe. ^_^;

According to real SAT, 11 on the essay part would translate to (11*3.43) 37.73 of raw score. To get 800, you need get at the very least 92 of raw score. That said, provided you answer everything, the most number you can miss on MC is 4.

bump
colleges can see a separate essay and mc subscore, right? If so, what is the curve for the mc section alone (without factoring in the essay)

I believe you can miss 4 and get an 80.
