Hi! So I just got a letter in the mail, and the important part was:

"If you enrolled at UF with credit from AP or IB classes and repeat the equivalent courses at UF, you will receive a grade for the UF course and no credit for the prior work."

Okay, so I receive the credit for MAC2311, which is great, it means a semester less of math. But does that mean I take MAC2512 or MAC2312?

They’re very very similar classes, 2512 is more tailored toward AP students.

You can take either, but since you’re AP, 2512 is probably the best bet. It’s what I took.

The letter’s just saying if you retake 2311, you arn’t going to end up with 3 AP credits and 3 UF credits, you’ll just end up with the 3 from UF.

Okay. I was just also confused because MAC2312 says the prereq is MAC2311. But if I have the AP credit, is it the same thing?
And also, since two semesters seem to be required for pre-med, do I still have to do two semesters or one?
Sorry for all the questions!

Don’t worry about asking all the questions, that’s what we’re here for :D

It depends on the med school, really. Some specifically specify two semester of math in college, so you can redo calc 1 and take calc2, or take calc 2 and calc 3.

Personally I found calc 3 the easiest of them, but I am good with vectors.
