So, I'm actually applying ED to cal poly san luis obispo. application deadline Oct 31.

I havn't sent in my scores yet, even though I took it in June.

Do they have to be in by the time of the application deadline (4 days?)

So, should I spend the extra $27 and rush ship it tomorrow? Or should I do the regular shipping when I send it in tomorrow and everything will be good, and they don't need it by the actually application deadline.

im confused..

Just making sure. Please respond if you know, thanks!

Contact collegeboard.com, and send the scores. Do it tonight. They don’t need to be sent “rushed” since it’s all electronic. it’s a push of a button. They don’t go with your application anyway.

Pay the “rush” fee. If the College board says it takes two weeks to process, you don’t want to be left in the dust because YOU didn’t adhere to a deadline (btw…check all your other schools…my guess is that deadline for those SAT scores to Cal Poly were on the website before this week…don’t miss any MORE deadlines).

Although I’m not the ad com, schools generally don’t need the scores right away. For example, they will take scores from Oct ACT, and those don’t get reported/sent until mid-Nov. MIT, in fact, will take Nov SAT which won’t be out until late Nov (with 11/1 deadline). Some schools, that take electronic reports, take longer to process rush reports which are on paper. They, in fact, say they’ll take longer with paper.

Definitely call the school. Some schools tell students NOT to rush SAT scores, because it messes with the way the scores are handled at the school.
