Confused on whether or not I'm deferred?

<p>I applied to Pitt main campus for Marketing major about the last week of October and when I checked my PittConnect account this past Friday, I got this: "The Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and requested that I contact you for additional information, specifically your mid year grades, December SAT results. Once we receive this information from you, your application will be reviewed again, and you will be notified about your status."</p>

<p>Does this mean I'm deferred? I just read posts on CC from a few years ago and some people got a deferral letter that asked them to write an essay. I didn't get an email either. Does anyone know the situation I'm in?</p>

<p>Here are my stats:
Weighted GPA: 3.6 (school does not send unweighted)
SAT: 1830 (m- 620 cr- 550 wr- 660)</p>

<p>My senior grades are looking a lot better, about 3.8-4.0 GPA. I am also taking the Dec. SAT</p>

<p>I don’t know what the technical term would be, but in a sense, yes it is a deferral.
Don’t worry about the wording…you are still an applicant and there has been no decision on your application. That is the bottom line.</p>

<p>Your scores look pretty good. So I would get the information in as you should have a chance for sure!</p>
