confused. please help.

<p>I am just starting to write my essay and I don't know what to do. My original idea was to write and essay with an extended metaphor comparing my life to something that I love and that is related to my intended major. I did a rough draft and I like the way it sounds but I am worried that it does not say enough about me. It shows some creativity but does not include a lot of specific things about me. Should I play it safe and go with the person that influenced me most or should i try to stick with this more unique approach?</p>
