Confused pre-med/business guy.

I'm a sophomore at a school well known for its engineering and science programs. I was majoring in business until I discovered that I love math. I'm now majoring applied maths-business option. I'm also a significant way into the pre-med thing, (I've taken biology through genetics, and general chem I and II).

Simply put, I'm a learner. I love school and learning. My school has good graduate programs in finance and math. Also, I like the idea of being a doctor.

Does someone doing a business major have a shot at getting into med school? What about someone majoring in math? I know that everyone says all you need to do are complete the introductory physical sciences (bio, chem, phys), but will I be looked down upon for my business background? Does anyone have statistics of who gets into med school by major?

Thanks everyone.

You can major in anything and get into med with a good gpa and mcat. Also, why do you want to be a doctor? Vs going into business?
