So ill be a junior in the fall so of course ive had to start fussing over college. As is i love art and game design but i know theyre hard fields to break into. I was considering majoring in computer science or something similar, and then minoring in game design/animation. I really dont wanna end up in some office job i hate but im trying to at least give myself room for error if i need it. does this sound like it could work?
At the time we’re at now, it seems like computer science is a really useful major, and a good thing to understand. A lot of companies look for computer science degrees. Game design/animation seems like it would fit well with the major, too
You could go to a vocational school for graphic design for 2 years than start working.
My brother works as an artist for a game called RIFT. He has told my daughter numerous times if she got computer science degree she would have no problem finding a job at gaming companies.
PS: Fun thread title.
