Confused: they said my application is complete, but they don't have midyear report

Cornell, Princeton, Stanford, and Vanderbilt say my application is "complete" and ready for review, but my counselor hasn't even sent in my mid-year report. Why are they saying this? I'm so worried--they don't even have my updated transcript.

Help?

Well, if your counselor hasn’t sent in the report yet, they won’t see it. From what I know, the counselor is supposed to do that after your school fall semester is over. It isn’t something that the colleges were supposed to receive at the same time as the rest of your application/recommendations.

So…what your saying is that when they say my application is “complete” is that they received the stuff they needed by the deadline (which doesn’t include the mid-year obviously). Clarification?

Yeah, pretty much. I mean, you can’t do anything about the midyear report. Your counselor will submit it when he/she is ready (and maybe you can like inform your counselor about it in case he/she doesn’t know about it already).

Do colleges review applications without the midyear report? Is that possible?
