Confused: Umich Vs Case Western

i know University of Mich. is higher ranked, and much better known. I'm looking from a pre-med point of view

I'm basically hearing that both schools have a very competitive pre-med atmospheres. Does anyone know if there is curving in UMich grading system, and how that works?

thanks

The University of Michigan is one of the biggest suppliers of medical school students (if not the largest) in the U.S. The lecture courses I.E. Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, Bio-chemistry and really any large lecture courses will be on a curve. Generally the average is set at a B-/B.

Hope this helps.

Both are very tough and competitive...the obvious difference which you will have to decide is do you want really small classes with close contact with your professors as CAse will give you, or do you not mind the large intro classes at UM?

Both are difficult, both push you for your GPA, and both have around a 60% admissions rate into med schools, so I guess it depends on other factors rather than just academics alone
