Confused. What does this exactly mean? + *Bonus Questions* Oooooh.

"Scores must be submitted directly from the SAT or ACT testing agency. ---- does not accept scores that appear on the high school transcript, from paper score reports, etc."

Does that mean on test day I have to check off that box that says I should send these directly to the college? Because ... I've always avoided doing that so I could send the scores myself through the common application. Plus, I don't want the college to know my score before I find out myself. I'm taking the December 11th ACT if that matters (which probably doesn't).

P.S. Oh, and do YOU usually check that box off? Do you leave it blank? What was I supposed to do? ... Last time I left it empty.

P.P.S. Do you think I'll get my ACT scores back if the earliest college deadline for me is January 3rd?

P.S.P.S. How far are you in the college process? I'm uh, behind ...ish.

Thanks!

No that means that when it comes time to apply for college, then you have to pay extra money to ACT/collegeboard to send the online report straight to the college. You can’t use the SAT/act scores reported on your transcript as official reports of your scores. You don’t have to check off the box on the day of testing, but if you’re trying to meet a deadline near January, then you shouldcheck that box on the day of testing to avoid missing the deadline.

I personally left it blank, until the last Nov SAT I took that I had to send directly to colleges, because my deadline was Dec 1 and I couldn’t miss it.
You can check the day you get your ACT score back on the website.

And me? I’M DONE WITH MY COLLEGE APPS. YEAHHHH! ok sorry about that. hehe

Wow, I’m an idiot.

I totally forgot you send the scores from the ACT website! This whole time I was just going to type my scores into Common App and think, “Oh, okay. That was super easy. I’m done!” Stupid me. Okay, then I’ll just send my scores through the website. I’m taking the test on December 11th. I figured that online scores will be posted within 2 weeks and that’ll give me enough time to send them. I’m still debating whether or not I should check that box off …

When the online scores are shown after 2 weeks of the test, is there a send button available?

By the way, I’m SOOOOO jealoussss!
