I am currently attending Community College and it sucks to know that i didnt try hard enough my high school years. I want to transfer to a school which has Criminal Justice Major but I dont think my grades are good enough for any colleges to look at. My sat's were lower than 1200, my average grade was a B plus and my gpa was 2.9. Does anyone feel the same way? How would I approach looking for colleges, etc? Should I retake my sat's? Im so lost just need a push into the right direction.

Here’s a big fact about higher education that many people in America fail to grasp: not everyone is cut out for college. You are probably one of those people. Get an associate’s if you can and call it quits.

Sheesh. High school stats won’t matter if you get your associates. Good luck!

What state are you in?

wow that was extremely rude. i know exactly how you feel. just because you didn’t work hard enough in highschool, doesn’t mean it has to carry on into the rest of your life. i’m lost myself, so i don’t have much input. but you’re not alone, what i’m doing (and it may be a good idea for you as well) is to go to a college that is easy for almost anyone to get into, and just work as hard as you can to get to the top part of your class. then when you graduate, you have those great grades that will get you into a great graduate school. that would definitely make up for those lost years of studying. but yeah, it’s really really hard.
