Confused/Worried

So I found out today that I got into Cal Poly SLO and CSUN. I still have yet to hear from my UC’s but I don’t know if I have the edge for UC’s because my gpa is low (3.5 weighted) and a 30 on ACT. I was told that SLO was a reach for me but I got in.

I’m really hoping my extra curriculars will help me out but I’m not sure if it will be enough.

2nd degree blackbelt / instructor
Cheerleading
Robotics team captain
Make a wish president

Volunteering:
Animal shelter
An organization that helps elders who have developmental challenges
Sporadic walks and other events

Work experience
Kaiser permanente (8 week internship)
Chipotle (1 month seasonal)
Hollister Co. (2 months seasonal)

Interesting facts?
Parents were refugees from Cambodia
First born in my family (first to be born in America)
Was always the only Cambodian in my school

Essays:
For UC’s I wrote about cultural stigmas I faced bc i had no one to relate to in my community. I also wrote about my relationships that i established with directors from comcast nbcuniversal and how i was in charge of marketing and sponsorships.

I applied to :
Berkeley
Irvine
Santa Barbara
Riverside
San Diego

I don’t know if it matters but Berkeley asked me to send in Recommendations and San Diego gave me supplementals, is that random or can it actually help?

Congratulations on your SLO acceptance. SLO 's Economics major has about a 50% acceptance rate, when compared to the UC’s is probably on the high side. Taking nothing away from your academic credentials, the UC’s will be a tougher admit. UCR looks like a Match but UCSB and UCI could go either way. UCSD/UCB are definite Reaches. Being a first generation student will be an advantage and if your essays are strong, it could overcome your lower than average GPA. Hang in there, but be proud you were accepted to a great school like SLO.
