Confused

How many teacher recs do we have to have? One or two?

nvm (10char)

You need one teacher recommendation, but you’ll need one counselor to fill out the Secondary Schools forms, which do contains a brief “Counselor Recommendation” section.

Yep, only one from a teacher is *required/i, but the dean of admissions recommended that applicants send in two.

I’ll send 2 just in case then.
Thanks for the heads up.

On commonapp there is only space for one recommendation invite though, and I can’t add another one. Am I supposed to send the “recommended” second letter via mail?

Yes, I have the same question as ^. The Common App only allows space for one so how do we send the other one?

Through the mail. I called and asked.

So I should ask my teacher to print it out and give her a stamped and addressed envelope?

Mmmhm.

@Elasticity Two is usually a good number, but also make sure that you get a good mix of the types of recommendations. Meaning, that if your two recommendations come from teachers who only know how well you do in their class and not who you are as a person then make sure to get a third one from a teacher who knows you as a person.

@bourne12 Make sure you give her stamped and addressed envelopes for all the schools she should send the recommendations

Hope this helps
