Confusing FAFSA for more than six schools (and corrections)

ohkay. i know how it goes. deleting first 6 schools(let's say these Group 1) after FAFSA application is processed then add other schools(let's say these Group 2) which will allow later schools to see my file.

then. now I made corrections on my file since my parents gave me thier 2004 tax return finally.

Anyway I wonder whether ALL (group 1 and group 2) schools will see corrections OR only Group 2(since i deleted Group1 and add Group 2 schools) will see, therefore now i have to change back my schools to Group 1 again.
(i know it's a very confusing sentense -_-)

I have talked to 3 FAFSA specialists, and 2 said i need change back and last 1 told me i dont have to, all schools automatically will see changes.

I am confused. Dont know what to do.
Anyone experts on FAFSA? please help me!

Both files are still available. The second person was correct. I did the same thing with eleven schools and all the schools have received the FAFSA. This topic has been discussed many times within the past few weeks alone. Check the archives.

i checked archives. i am just alittle bit confused.

so once i made corrections, regardless which schools are on that transaction, ALL of my schools (more than 6) will view that changes. right???

I have asked them myself and their explanation is that these are files that are all available.
Doing the correction doesn't eliminate the fist SAR or file.

My understanding is that the corrections will only apply to the second group, not the first group that was deleted to make room for the second group. To be sure, call FAFSA at the 800 number.

as i said on my post, FAFSA specialists on the phone gave me mixed answers.

ouch.

This has been kicked around so many times already. As long as FAFSA has your last SAR on file just do a correction deleting then replacing the schools.
You don't have to get an email as sometimes their system doesn't send one.
I have found that the correction is usually processed in less than 48hrs.
Of course you will get conflicting answers when you call the government :D

Think of the "corrections" as being "updates." Any school listed on a a particular transaction sees the data for that transaction. For example, if you list "Private College" on Transaction #1 (estimated data, original 6 schools) and #3 (corrected data, original 6 schools) both transactions remain available to the school. Each time they download, they receive a copy of "Transaction #1" and "Transaction #3".
