just go talk to the advisors already. if you want to do it, they are the ones who will tell you how.

I am a math/econ major. I think these two majors go really good. I donāt see the point in triple majoring, but whatever. What about computer science? I think that sounds practical.

Wait, dentafriyan, you can go straight from your Bachelorās to ph.D? I thought that you had to have a Masterās first.

Are you from Europe? [AFAIK, lots of schools in the UK and ROI want you to get a Masters before a Ph.D]

In the US, typically one completes a Bachelors and enters a Ph.D program. During the Ph.D program, he or she will have to take prelims which usually occur after 2 years. If he or she passes these, a Masters degree may or may not be awarded depending on school. The Ph.D is completed a few years after the prelims.

rather than triple major in econ math and stats, why not just double major in applied math with economics, and statistics?

just a thought.

@ rpicton, No, Iām not from Europe lol. However, Iām much more familiar with med school requirements, as I am premed, rather than general grad school requirements.

I heard if youāre real good, you want to skip the masters. If you are lacking the skills, then a masters is a must.
