confusing, stressful transfer situation

Hello guys, I recently completed my freshman year at a prestigious Catholic school on the east coast with decent grades (3.3-3.4). Toward the end of the year, however, I started to have the desire to transfer to my state's flagship public university. It was because of a number of reasons, mainly financial. Also the kids there weren't really my type, I've always felt more comfortable at public schools, etc.

The problem is that the transfer deadline has passed. Would the school offer a little wiggle room with that? Also, I was already accepted last year (with almost a full ride). Would these scholarships still be available? I'd rather not have to transfer for the Spring '10 semester; I think that would make the transition a lot tougher. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Not only have transfer deadlines passed, schools have already made their decisions on fall transfers.

We cannot answer these questions, you need to take the time and call the school to get an answer on whether or not you can transfer and if they will still give you merit aid. I wouldn’t count on either, but it can’t hurt to try.
