What's wrong with [in area]?

The "Mayan Riviera," which extends down the eastern coast of Mexico, has many hidden caves, one of which is larger [than the size of] Monaca.

hmmm… very weird questions btw… are you sure the answers are correct? Ur freaking me out btw…i have a feeling like ill suck tomorrow :P

yes, they are correct.

the first one is idiomatic… should be “by”

the second one is redundant… largest in area… should just be “largest”.

the third is also redundant…larger than the size… should be “larger than”.

the second one is no error; I’m sure about that

hmm… i could agree with the first one, but since when do we find redundancy in identifying errors?
