Confusing writing question

Hey guys, just came across a confusing writing question while I was doing some practice:

(A fashionable vacation destination), thousands of tourists visit Miami Beach every summer, and the number of visitors increases each year.

A) A fashionable vacation destination
B) Being a fashionable vacation destination
C) Since vacationers consider the destination as a fashionable one
D) Because it is a fashionable vacation destination
E) It is a fashionable destination for vacationers.

Basically, I know its a misplaced modifier error because Miami Beach should directly follow the comma, but I feel like none of these choices fixes that error. I usually do not trip up on Sentence Improvement questions, but I picked D because choice A definitely needed Miami Beach after and B,C, and D are either wordy or awkward.

Thanks for the help in advance.

A) misplaced modifier
B) misplaced modifier
C) awkward; too wordy
D) Because it is a fashionable vacation destination this is the answer.
E) comma splice; even if it’s not, you will never be splitting sentences; and even if that wasn’t the case, the sentences sound extremely choppy

A) A fashionable vacation destination – Misplaced modifier
B) Being a fashionable vacation destination – misplaced modifier/coordination error
C) Since vacationers consider the destination as a fashionable one – “consider as”=idiom error
D) Because it is a fashionable vacation destination – okay: dependent clause comma independent clause is good subordination, and “it” can only refer to Miami Beach so no pronoun error
E) It is a fashionable destination for vacationers. – comma splice (indep. clause comma indep. clause is bad coordination)
