<p>I'm debating taking offense to this or not... I applied to four Ivies after thoroughly researching them all, and I would hardly call that a stupid move. I simply wasn't putting all of my eggs in one basket. At the same time, I balanced my ticket with four other top-tier schools, and my state school. How does this imply that I'm stupid, exactly?</p>
<p>And to answer the OP's question (or just give an anecdote), I got into four Ivies, and I'm no Nobel winner. A lot of people here at Harvard got into several other Ivies as well.</p>
