Compared to the SAT, say a 700 on each section, what is the equivalent to the ACT? Same goes for composite, what's a 2100 like? 30?

There’s a handy little conversion table here: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/04/education/edlife/guidance.html?_r=1&scp=1&sq=sat+vs.+act&st=nyt&oref=slogin

It’s not the most accurate source, but it’s definitely a good reference.

from collegeboard: <a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools;

That collegeboard chart doesn’t mean anything to me since that was in 1994 and focused on the old SAT. So I’m aiming for a 32 I guess. Generally, how many questions wrong on each section(like 5 for math, 8 for CR for the SAT) nets me a 32(on each section)? Is there a penalty for guessing wrong?

not sure how many you can miss to get a 32, but you do not lose points for guessing incorrectly.

You can miss about 5 or so on each section on average to get a 32…

For every section except science, it’s usually -5 or so. For science, a 32 could mean anything from -2 to -5.
