So I will be a junior this fall in high school and am interested in applying to UMich. However, the majors I am interested in applying to are a STEM majors and Business/MBA (Ross School).

I know the the chances of being admitted to Ross are relatively low and I would to know a couple of things.

1) If I apply to Ross and am declined, will this prevent me from attending UMich at all?
2) Can I still attend UMich with a STEM major if I am declined from UMich's business school?

When you apply to U-M for freshman admissions, you must apply to LSA, Engineering, Nursing, Kinesiology, Art or MTD. I think those are the only schools that accept freshman. If you are interested in Ross, you can add to application an application for pre-admission to Ross. If you are admitted to one of the other schools, your application will be sent to Ross for consideration for pre-admission. If you are given pre-admission to Ross, you will be admitted to Ross as long as you satisfy the conditions. If you are denied pre-admission, you are still admitted to the other unit and you can apply again to Ross as a freshmen. If you are again denied, you can continue with your other program at U-M.
