<p>According to the Cornell website (and an alumni rep I met with), the school does not give interviews but rather "informational sessions." However, on the Common Data Set they published for 2011-2012, they say that interviews are "considered" in the admissions process.</p>
<p>The interviews aren’t evaluation-based interviews for most of the colleges. Each interviewer gives a short write-up and they are largely generic/supportive of candidates. What CAN make a difference is if you left something off your application and you tell your interviewer. If that’s the case, they can relay that to admissions and add that to your profile (ex. You forgot 100 hours of volunteer service in 9th grade).</p>
