Hello everyone,
I just want to start off by saying that i did not get accepted to my dream college for architecture, The university of texas. So, i am attending Texas Tech university in the fall for architecture, and i plan to transfer to UT after the first year. What’s stressing me out is that i’m not sure at all how this transfer process is supposed to go. Also, i’m planning on picking my classes based off of what first year architecture students at UT take, but they Tech doesn’t have some of these same classes. Is what i’m doing wise? any Advice? Because i can’t afford housing for 4 years in a place i don’t want to be in. Someone please help me i don’t know what to and i’m terrified
First of all, if you can’t afford the housing at Tech, make sure would be able to afford UT as a transfer student. Second, there is no guarantee at this point you will be accepted there as a transfer student, or that you will even want to transfer, if you give Texas Tech a chance. I would not deviate too much from the recommended courses at Tech. If you have a choice between two things that are required at Tech, but one is on the required list at UT, then yes, obviously take that one. But, planning your courses around another school’s curriculum may put you behind at Tech if you aren’t able to successfully transfer.
