My bro just completed plebe summer here at USNA

i just wanted to say congratulations to any other plebes out there...i have an unbelievable amount of respect and admiration for all of you....good luck during the academic year

Yes, congrats to your brother doogie311 and all the other plebes. I was abled to see them on the first and second day of plebe summer as I was at Navy Water Polo Camp and I have tremendous respect for them all.

That's great to hear doogie311 that your brother completed Plebe Summer...I'm also jelous of sandiegodude1607 for being able to see them in their first days as plebes...it will be my turn next year and I'm excited GO NAVY BEAT ARMY

CONGRATS to all & good luck with the academic year!! Let the REAL fun begin! And doogie, no "noogies" on your brothers head. He'll be all buffed out now and you won't be able to catch him! Even if you do, it won't be pretty! ;) My older son is working out night & day just in case his little brother can take him now.

Good luck to all those applying this year as well. Don't give up the ship!
BEAT ARMY!!

Dictatoranna, read the beginning of the "Class of 2010," as it began as a list for aspiring 2010 mids, however, as CC forums tend to, it shifted to a new subject.

aha yea, they have a mini sea trial tomorrow and its been soooo humid and hot in annapolis so like the cadres are hoping it gets black flagged too...its funny

Sen. John McCain was on "Imus" this morning and spoke about being with his son Jack, a plebe who just finished his summer training. He said, "If you have any doubts about our kids and their future, just go to one of the services academies and see the fine young people there."
Amen, John and good luck to your son and the rest of the plebes at USNA 2009!

Senator McCain and his wife sat across from me in Alumni Hall during the Parents' Forum on Saturday. Plebe Parent Weekend was AWESOME! The Mids look FIT and FINE! I would definitely rank the experience near the top along with other major benchmarks in our lives. Everyone was sorry to see it end (understatement of the year!).

I also understand that the members of the Class of 1959 attended tonight's evening meal to celebrate the end of Plebe Summer, and the fare was steak and lobster!
