<p>And to the deferred... hang in there.. and don't neglect your other options.. There are soooo many different things out there! There are sooo many great places - great cities, great schools!
It WILL work out for you!
Hang on to CU, at the same time find those other schools that will love!!</p>

<p>And to rejectees (ooooo what a horrible word) like me :)
Aren't you just glad that we're alive?
CU may not want us.. but it's OK!!!
I cried yesterday.. today I'm better.
As you guys may have known.. I used to absolutely LOVE columbia and be compppplllletttley obsessed!!! But now I've moved on and I'm thinking outside of CU.
Of course it hurts and it's upsetting.
But I'm realizing there are sooo many new opportunities out there. I'm really thankful for this experience. It is a life lesson. And I've come out of this more mature... and I'm proud of myself. You guys should be too!</p>

<p>I know in my heart that I put in 130% in to the CU app. I tried my best! I couldn't have done anything more.. I poured my heart and soul into it.
And if that was the short end of the straw.. it's too bad!
We are still amazing, intelligent people.. And I TRULY believe we will do great. Everything that I pursue, I try my best.. and if it sometimes doesn't work out.. I'll keep going.. And I never give up!!</p>

<p>I still have faith and I know the future is bright!
I just get so excited about life!
Yes, life may be the biggest B1Tch everr sometimes.. But really.. when you look at the big picture!! Life IS BEAUTIFUL!!! (and the SMALL things in life are BEAUTIFUL) And.. I'm so grateful and thankful that I am privileged to even get a university education..
All of us are so lucky.. never forget that!</p>

<p>I'm now completing my RD apps, revising for my IB mocks in January and studying for the SAT 2s in Jan..

I'm thankful that I have these opportunities to study.. </p>

<p>I agree with editrix's post. Even though I'm not applying to Columbia, I've been reading the accepted/deferral/rejected stories from this board (because my friend applied). I loved your post, silver-wavez! Perhaps I'll look back on it when I get back my app decisions!</p>
