Congratulations Class of 2017

<p>The summer melt figures are in and indeed, contrary to early reports, Amherst apparently went to their waitlist for ~48 applicants, rounding their acceptance rate to 14% (compared to 12.8 last year.)*</p>

<p>Other highlights include a record number of students of students color (45%)<a href=“http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/04/15/education/thechoice-2013-acceptance-rates.html[/url]”>http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/04/15/education/thechoice-2013-acceptance-rates.html</a> as well as students receiving Pell Grants (23%).</p>
