Congratulations, Condolences, and Good Luck!

Most of the RD decisions are out now, and on behalf of Dave Berry, Sally Rubenstone, our tireless CC mod crew, and myself, I’d like to congratulate our CC members on their acceptances.

With some schools rejecting nine out of ten applicants, no doubt there are more than a few thin letters out there in CC-land, too. For those who didn’t get into their top choice school, don’t worry. I’m guessing that you DID get into some other excellent schools. One encouraging statistic: about 3/4 of college freshman report they are so happy with their current school they wouldn’t switch even if they had the opportunity. The odds are good that you’ll end up at a great school and that your old #1 will be a dim memory sooner than you’d think.

For those in waitlist purgatory, good luck - it’s probably time to focus on the schools you DID get into, but if you are so motivated, try to turn your waitlist status into an acceptance. (Required reading: [Dealing with Deferrals and Waitlists](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_admissions/deferral.htm).)

And for those of you now making the tough decision of where to enroll, good luck as well.

Thanks to the many members who have commented on how College Confidential, and in particular our forum, have helped them through the college process with useful knowledge and, at times, support from others going through the same thing.

Congrats to all!

Roger

Thanks CC for all your hard work!

I can't believe it, after being at CC since junior year, the college drama/search is finally over for (most of) us high schoolers '05!

Thank You So Much For Everything!

Thanks to you three and your staff, CC has enabled all its members to become 'clued in' - to the colleges they apply to, the applications process, and the important criteria that students need to consider for The Final Choice. Speaking as a parent visiting CC for three years, I can say that this information-packed, well-designed, beautifully organized web site has been my BEST source for each step of the path to Celebration Day!

Your problem is becoming extremely popular - soon you will need a bigtime server to keep up with increasing demand as word of mouth doubles and trebles the traffic on our beloved CC! Power to the People, Right On!

thanks this site really helped

Well I'm a transfer student, so I'm still waiting to hear. However thanks to not only the people who run the site, but all the other members. When I came here a little over a year ago with a few questions about UCLA, people were willing to help. Now that I'm waiting to see if I got in, this board has really become a form of emotional support. It's good to know you're not the only one going through all this stress!

first, thanks for the congrats.
second, i really think the site is awesome. and i only wish i knew about it when i started my application process. while it still has been very useful now, it for sure would have been 100 times more useful at the beginning.
third, thanks to it i already know some of my future classmates:)
thanks CC!

A truly informative site that is of great help to kids, parents and ,hopefully, colleges. This site is a great public service. Thanks!

Thanks CC for all the help. I remember first coming here as a sophmore prepping for the Columbia SHP test. I've met some really motivated and neat peers here and I'm so thankful for that. I'm pretty sure I'll be heading for Boston Univeristy come this September, and my twin brother will be coming along with me. Even though I was rejected from my Ivy League choices (Cornell, Columbia, and Harvard), I wouldn't want it any other way - going to the same college as my twin brother is gonna be so awesome! Congrats to everyone!

Thanks, this site has been a great help in having a place to release the stress of this entire process. I got dd reading it, though she doesn't post--(she's come close). I've learned so much here. Now that dd is waitlisted for Yale, I'm having regrets. I didn't know she was a contender so we didn't overly focus on it (EA etc), but I can see she would have picked it if accepted. Well she has 6 other stellar choices --still a very difficult decision, we love them all!

congratz grad 05s and gl next yr

Dear Roger and crew,

There is no doubt in my mind that a lot of our good news is directly attributable to your great work and the real help this site embodies. And it is absolutely true that CC has made the college admissions process ever so much more fun. I have so enjoyed the CC community and all that people share, most particularly the love and support for folks when things get tough. CC represents an extraordinary place for sharing, and I really appreciate ALL you do to make it possible!

thanks so much

thanks so much... wouldnt never have gotten in to so many schools without all the great info i found here... and u did a good job keeping the site more or less up on march31st/april 1st (unlike a lot of the actual decison websites...) THANKS

Haha, yes, thank you SO MUCH.
I'd be interested to see the "average" statistics of all CC users... Yes, I was thinking about this the other day. Haha. I know we're supposedly the "above average" applicants.. but by how much? It would be like a college "applicant data sheet" or something. In any case, thanks a lot to you guys for helping keep this site a great place.

it's such a relief to have this whole process finally over with

thank you for helping us through it :)

WASH U '09 (WOOHOO!)

CC rocks. I'm so glad I found this site.

i really wanna thnx CC for the forum n ppl....honestly i kearnt so many things abt Us admissions , if only i had discovered this site early while doin the appl and not in late feb :p
itz been grt here and made new friends :)
but i also did get intimidated by the kids with amazin stats :o

anyway, i am def gonna make sure my bro comes here when his turn coems to apply in 2 yrs :)

ps: the indian thread rocks! :D

Thanks CC for all your hard work.
One improvement would be to block all the college's servers from accessing the site... to keep admissions officers at bay. But I guess they could always log on from their homes... oh well, there's no way to solve that issue. Well thanks for all you all do! I appreciate it.

Thanks CC. This site and your hard work have really helped me tremendously throughout the process.
