Mechanics: 5

"Are 4's considered bad? Like will they kindof look down on you? Or is it good, or average? This is probably a dumb question..."

A 4 on an AP test is great! Good enough for most college credit you get from a 5 as well. It's not looked down upon at all!

US Gov 5

Calc BC 5
US History 5

English Lit

All 4's. Maybe 5's on a couple if I'm lucky. Doesn't matter since I only need 4's on each for college credit...

Depends on the college. If you're applying to HYPS where all the competitive applicants have 5's, then yes, a 4 looks worse.

Even in the case of HYPS a 4 is better than nothing, especially if you have the AP course on your transcript. A 4 shouldn't hurt admissions anywhere.

jbruner17: I'm not saying it's bad, and I entirely agree with your statement. I just disagree with the above quote, that it's "great" for all schools. For HYPS, where most applicants have an insane number of 5's, 4 is just average.

probably a 5 psych
