So I realized recently Penn State was placing their finishing touches on everyone's application status and I was curious how many of you guys were offered admission/in the process of receiving your admission decision.

I submitted mine near the Nov. 30 and I just received my acceptance to Penn State! I'm very excited and looking forward to meeting everyone soon.

I believe they do just on the looks of Penn State Abington’s page.

“All newly admitted international students are required to complete the International Student Visa Documentation process in order to receive visa-eligibility documentation (I-20/DS-2019) and/or clearance to enroll at Penn State. The following is an overview of this process (additional details are provided to the student as they progress through the steps):”

“Penn State Abington welcomes students from around the world! International students are not USA citizens or permanent residents and require any form of visa to attend Penn State. Please go to the Resources for International Students page for more information about the the steps to apply.”

They received everything for my application on November 19th and my status has been “We are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.” for almost 2 weeks now. Does anyone have an idea when I’ll get my decision?

I know from talking with different people it really does vary, but you are actually at e final stage!

" Status #5. “We are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.”
And now, you wait. This message appears when your application enters the review process. There is no exact timeframe for how long you will see this message – some of you already know, it can be weeks, even months. If you see this message currently in MyPennState, you should not expect it to change until January, as we are not making any admissions decisions over the holiday break. For those of you that applied before November 30, don’t worry – you should get your decision in January. "

It’s a good sign that it is updated. Keep track with it daily. I remember my last status was something like “We are in the final stages of review and an admissions decision will be posted here in the upcoming days.” I researched and it would take approx. 3 business days to post your admission decision.

@ion, I believe, and anybody correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Penn State just sends you the acceptance online on the admissions status; no real email or mail.

@extraordinare penn state does send both an email telling you to check your account and once accepted does send a letter but may take a couple of days to arrive depending where you live. For example I got accepted last into penn state two weeks ago and received a letter in the mail four days ago. I also happen to be a out of state student and want to tell everyone that don’t worry if they haven’t received a decision yet, keep calm and continue to check the website.
