Whether your children are graduating middle school or high school/BS, congratulations to them, and to you! Celebrate their accomplishments, and yours! We parents mess up a lot, but we also do stuff right, occasionally. Best wishes to everyone at the end of the school year!
Congratulations 2016ers!
Just saw on Instagram the tent for graduation is up. Leave tomorrow for graduation weekend - I can’t believe it.
Our graduation is tomorrow. People asking if I’m sad. Sad?? Heck no! Glad this leg’s over. Looking forward to the next flight.
I’m not sad either. In fact, we’re in that small subset of people who will be paying less in tuition/room and board heading into college. Yay!
Just got back home from a wonderful dinner with other '16 parents at our go-to tavern. Those from further away want to pack up their child’s room on Wednesday, before the reception at Head’s home, dinner, and Awards Night. Not a whole lot of time or desire at SAS among seniors to pack up on Graduation Thursday, as Chapel starts at ten with the big event following at eleven. After a few hours celebrating on the front Lawn, the class will be headed to the two parent-assisted class parties next two nights in Maryland and Delaware.
Best wishes and congratulations at your own big events! ~O)
@Momof7thgrader Congratulations! I can relate. We are in the small subset that got a full ride to BS, and after a decade of private school tuition for two it feels like a big fat raise.
Chimneykid graduated last Sunday and it was so special. She won 2 class awards and graduated cum laude! We had 3 aunts, 3 grandparents and 2 parents in our party - it takes a village but we got her through (She made it pretty easy). Truly love NMH and will miss having her at a school I know has such integrity and sense of purpose. We are so grateful and congrats to all the 2016 kiddos!
