Congratulations to the Class of 2017 (from the Class of 2016)!

Hi everyone! Congratulations to those of you who were accepted to Wellesley ED! The next four years will be challenging but well worth it! I'm a first year student (Class of 2016) at Wellesley from Seattle, WA. My intended major is biology (pre-med track). I'd be happy to answer any questions you may have about the social/academic/extracurricular aspect of Wellesley. I'm currently persevering through my first college finals week, but I promise I'll respond more frequently when it's over!

Hi! I don’t know if I am allowed to ask any questions on this thread cuz I was deferred fro ED. But I am very curious and devastated because no matter how many other schools I will be applying for regular decision, Wellesley will always be my first choice and I will do my best to get in!

So my questions is this:

What is the chance for deferred students to get into regular decision? Is it very rare? What should I do now after deferral.

I hope you answer this question!

Hi! First of all, thank you so much for offering to do this. I was admitted Early Decision to Wellesley, and I was wondering if you could just let me know on a typical weekend, what typically goes on on-campus. Also, I was wondering how frequently students venture off campus, as well as how many take part in the social scenes of Boston and Cambridge. Thank you so much!

I’ll contribute a bit to the social aspect of this conversation – you can stay on-campus or go off-campus as much as you want. Different students have different priorities. Some stay at Wellesley a majority of the time and only go to Boston every weekend or so. Others go to Boston every day; this is especially true if you’re taking advantage of cross-registration for classes at MIT or if you’re volunteering or doing community service somewhere in the city. Ultimately, each student finds what works best for them.

is it too late to begin my wellesley app for RD?

Nope and there’s still time for Early Evaluation too!
