On winning the ACC championship for the first time in school history.

'Noles are going to make a lot of noise at the Big Dance! Spear everyone; spare no one.

Congratulations! I went berserk at the end of that game. I’ve never been a basketball fan but FSU’s games have been tense, exciting affairs.

People are already counting FSU out against St. Bonaventure, but I’ve got my fingers crossed.

[St. Bonaventure Bonnies vs. Florida State Seminoles - NCAA Tournament Game - Preview - March 16, 2012 - ESPN](<a href=“Men's College Basketball Teams, Scores, Stats, News, Standings, Rumors”>espn.com)

Seems odd considering their respective seedings and the fact that FSU just knocked out two of the toughest teams back-to-back (along with beating both during the regular season).

People are counting out FSU for a couple reasons:
- St Bona is on a similar run (having just beaten Xavier, UMass, and St Joes in 3 days)
- FSU this year has shown to be capable of beating the big teams, but struggles badly against the little guys (losses to Princeton, Harvard, BC, and then Clemson by 20?)

I think though just like the people that are counting out FSU against St. Bona, there are those that have picked us to go to the Elite 8, Final Four, and I think even one person from ESPN picked us to be in the title game.

I’m thinking more along the lines of the Sweet Sixteen with the Elite 8 possibly likely if we get a favorable match-up in the Sweet Sixteen, but I do not think we are going to get to the Final 4 (in the bracket with Syracuse, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Vanderbilt as the other Top 5 seeds?).

It’s really not odd to see people thinking a very high seeded team will lose early on. As we’ve seen with the FSU team the last couple of years, that 5/12 matchup is a doozy for teams.

The talkingheads on ESPN, CBS Sports, etc.: it’s their job to stir TV viewers up. Vegas oddsmakers right now have FSU beating St. Bony by 6 1/2 points. Anything can happen in a basketball game though, and it ain’t over until it’s over! GO 'NOLES! FSU is capable of beating any team in the tourney.

I got FSU to the final four on my bracket, however i don’t have full faith in that happening.
Getting through, Cinci, OSU, then Vandy or Syracuse looks pretty tough.
But then again, if we never play like we did against BC, anything is possible!!

Another win for the Noles! It was a nail biter too.

Go 'Noles! St. Bonnie was poor-mouthing themselves going into that game but fortunately the 'Noles didn’t bite.

:D

How was St Bona poor-mouthing themselves?

FSU was pretty lucky to win. If they play anywhere near as poorly as they did against the Bonnies, they’re going to lose to Cincy.

Warchant.com reported that in pregame press conferences, they tried to make it sound like they were pretty much conceding the game. It was obvious they were just trying to make sure FSU didn’t get any bulletin board material and perhaps lower FSU’s motivation. I wasn’t fooled, and I don’t think the team was either.

The Bonnies are a good team, and that Nicholson was probably the best player on the court. The game scared the crap out of me, but a win is a win. At least we’re not Duke, Mizzou, or Michigan!

On to the round of 32. Beat Cincinnati, and GO 'NOLES!
