It’s scary to wait for the financial aid. It would suck if anything ruined my pure happiness/joy of getting into NYU in the first place. However, I’ve been applying to scholarships and paid summer opportunities like crazy; I’m determined to go and NOT be in severe debt when I graduate.

My niece has been accepted to Tisch and has been told her “packet is on the way”, but that was a couple of weeks ago. I know FA at NYU has been less than generous in the past for some but maybe she’ll get lucky. Any words of encouragement? What should she be doing now? Seems silly to be looking at housing when the chances are slim the $ will be there. Aaaargh. I wish $ wasn’t always such an important “deciding factor”.

I actually just called the office of admission… I got the same letter, and was just told that they won’t even send out any admission decision packets until April 1st… I don’t know what that means for financial aid, but it should be coming soon.

they actually started mailing the decisions out today.

Still waiting on that financial aid packet…

April 1st feels like a month away.

It’s definitely taking too long.

Is anyone going to NY on the 4th?

Ugh, so the financial aid packet definitely comes with the letter of acceptance? Because if I get a big envelope and then am told to wait a little for the finaid…

NYU’s not going to match what I need. I got $52,000 from GW, and people are going to think I’m soooo stupid if I give that up for NYU…but if they give me aid that isn’t as good but is still within reason, I’m going to find it hard to turn them down.

I got the UPS just a while ago…international about 16 hours from the US…

anyone else planning to major philosophy?

I’m gonna visit over spring break
Anyone else got a dual degree in engineering to CAS?

YAY!!! go violets!

did anyone visit yet, because it was pretty sweet
