Has anyone here done the all-year or semester Congressional Page program in DC? I recently met with my representative and I got me thinking about the opportunity.
It seems interesting, but I'm concerned about how it will affect my junior year academics. Any feedback is appreciated!

go to www.congressionalpage.org for some answers from school-year pages (i was only a summer page)

A kid at my school did this, only for the fall semester, but I believe he managed to remain on track in terms of IB and stuff with our school, so it's probably doable, if you're smart and work things out well. I don't know the kid very well though, as he's a junior and I'm a senior...and he was gone half if this year. Lol. So I can't help any more.

Friend is doing this during the summer. I told him to watch out for those congressmen...

A girl from my school did it 2 years ago and got into U of Mich honors. I don't know anything else about it though.

they have a semester program.. for next year, i'm pretty sure the deadline is over

I was a page, and it does not hurt you one bit in terms of academics

One guy I know did that, although I think it was for like 2 or 3 weeks, not a full semester. Because he was still enrolled in classes at the high school for that term it was hard for him to make up all that work he missed.

Although I heard it's an awesome experience especially if you're interested in politics. If you get the opportunity you should def. do it!

Best of luck if you do apply. I applied, but didn't make it. Good luck!
