<p>My son (HS junior) is trying to whittle down his list of drama/musical theatre schools and as part of that process I'd appreciate some feedback on which BFA/BA schools have the best "connections" in the real world. By that I mean which schools have faculty that are not only educators but are serious professionals themselves, and so have connections with people who can help their students and alumni get work. Which schools do the best job in this area? Those of you who have been through this already, do you think attending a college in or near NYC is helpful?</p>

<p>I can not address your question. I am a parent of a HS junior beginning the process. It seems to me that at this time of the year, most of the CC dialogue is among HS Seniors and their parents. Please check in frequently over the next few months as the HS class of 08 gets into the process. My S is looking at straight acting programs, though he is in a MT production that does its first performance tomorrow. If your S is interested in MT, that thread is very (more, thus far) active and informative.</p>
