Connor Community

I'm going to be a freshman next year, and I was thinking the Connor community was in a convenient location. I was just wondering if it is it going to be all upperclassman? The majority of freshman live on South campus, right? Where should I stay?

Ok, I am a freshman on N. Campus. I live in the Old Campus Lower Quad, in Graham Dorm. The location is great for going to class, but yes the majority of freshmen live on S. Campus, so its kind of a walk to go and chill w/ them. Conner is a great first choice, but its really pretty random when you are applying for housing. I think you have to have two south campus choices and two N. campus. if i were you i would put Eringhaus, Morrison, Charmichael, and Conner.

carmichael's closing next year! it's also middle campus

also: all the directional dorms (ehaus south, craige north, morrison south) are really good. just go for those.

You can't apply directly for the directional dorms though, you have to apply for a community. I wasn't aware that carmicahel was closing, but try to stick to the southern part of north campus or middle campus.

I'm in Ehaus this year. Right now I'm enjoying long, cold walks to class from south campus. It's not even worth it because I haven't met many friends there.

Any of the north campus dorms are going to be mostly upper classmen, although there is a quota (I think 10%?) that must be freshman in every dorm on campus. Remember though, even if you put down somewhere like Connor as your first choice, there's a decent chance you will still get South Campus. Basically it comes down to deciding whether you'd rather be around more freshman or if you'd rather have a better location.
