Hey there! I'm thinking about applying to Muhlenberg, however I'm pretty liberal and I've been at a conservative christian high school for awhile and want to go to a college that isn't like my high school---and I've heard Muhlenberg is a tad conservative (and, as a result, cliquey as well). Can anyone refute this? I love a lot of things about the school except that...

My D is a Freshman there. She is finding it a bit cliquey, but is working to find her niche. She is not a partier and since most kids do that on the weekends she has to find alternative things to do. There are plenty of non party things to do...you just have to go out anddo them.
As for how conservative it is, I have found it to be a mix when I have visited. If you want to talk to her about it, send me PM and I will give you some contact info.

bbbk have you visited Muhlenberg? My D is a sophomore, and I would not say the vibe is "conservative", so I am quite certain it WILL NOT be like your High School.
Regarding the cliquey part of the school, given the size and distinct groups, ie athletic types, theater talent and pre-med / science kids, you might find it cliquey, but from what I hear everyone gets along.

Anothermom, will be able to fill you in on weekend options, if you are a non-partier, so don't hesitate to ask away.

A visit would help answer your questions, if you are able to do that.
