<p>Overall would you say that Georgetown is a really conservative environment? What I've read so far leads me to believe that it is but I want to hear from someone who has actually been there.</p>
<p>I think conventional wisdom is that Georgetown is one of the more conservative universities out there. Which isn't saying much. Just like all colleges, it leans to the left, just not as much as some. But I can't say firsthand, so I'll leave that open to others.</p>

<p>I'm a junior, and I would definitely not say that I consider Georgetown "very conservative." The administration can tend to be slightly conservative, due to the whole Catholic influence (though the Jesuits are more liberal than most Catholic orders), there is a good mix with the professors, and the student body has a pretty good mix, but definitely leans to the left.</p>
