New School in NYC is a great one. There is also lots of opportunity for jazz musicians in NYC

Tell us about yourself LeFedora, and what kinds of conservatories you’re interested in–regions etc. Welcome!

Son has a friend at Thornton School of music at USC who is in a Jazz performance program with the upright bass and in the Popular Music program with the electric. He is an awfully talented guy, but you might be too. One idea to at least look into.

Best Wishes

McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montreal has an excellent jazz programme and Montreal is a wonderful city which would give you some cross-cultural experience.

Yes, tell us a little more about you and what part of the country you are interested in. There are many jazz parents here who can help you, once we know more about what you are looking for!
