So I've made plenty of money this past year and am considering getting an iPad. I already have a good laptop for school (I'm going to be a freshman at UMich) and just wanna know if it is a good investment. I DO have an iTouch (for the app side of everything) but I just wanted anyones advice on this matter! Thanks!

Honestly no, especially since you have a laptop and itouch anyway. What would be a good investment however, are a good set of headphones if you don’t already have some. The reason I recommend this is because you have a lot of extra money, and good headphones do improve your quality of life, believe me. That ipad won’t. Also something unique about headphones, is they retain their value for years unlike all other electronics. If you buy a used pair for $500, 5 years later you would be able to sell them for $500. That ipad may be worth $100 by then. Just something to think about :)

^ I didn’t know headphones were such a hot commodity lol. Thanks for the tip man.

If u want an iPad, get it. I have a nice laptop and an iPhone as well, but I use my iPad constantly. The instant on feature is really a god send when ur in school. U don’t have to wait for a boot up or whatever, u just hit safari and you’re off. I also use it alot for reading books and articles. It makes browsing the web alot of fun. Netlix and YouTube are some of my favorites as well. Battery life on it is amazing too, rated for 10 hours but I’ve easily gotten a couple days of moderate usage out of it before. For me, it was a wise investment because I wanted something much more portable than my MacBook pro. I didnt need the power of my MBP all the time, so I bought an iPad and haven’t looked back since.

If you have the money sure. Ipads are awesome but not laptop replacements. You could use them in some classes for notes. But since you already have an ipod its really up to you.
