Hey everyone,
I’ve recently been met with an identity crisis after struggling with a physics course. I’ve been debating over several majors, typically somewhere between CS or Accounting. However, after taking some time away, and talking to other people, I am considering going into IT as an MIS/CIS degree seems somewhere split down the middle between CS and business, and after researching more into the IT field, it sounds like something I’d be interested in.
My question is, aside from certificates, what’s the best way to get into this field? Should I just get an associates with certs, or should I pursue a CIS/MIS degree, and then get certificates? It just seems the way people enter this field tends to vary other than certificates. So, what do you recommend? I currently live in Texas, if that makes any difference.
Thanks.
