Hello! It's been a while since I've been back on these boards, but its good to see the CC community is still alive and kicking. :)

I'm about to graduate next year with an English and Political Science BA, and I know for a fact that I would love to do graduate school. I am considering getting a graduate degree (MS or MA) in either public relations, advertising, or general mass communications (most likely, the latter two). I have also been working for the past three years at the law school here as a marketing assistant/webmaster for the CLE department, as well as having worked on the student paper, so I don't know if that helps any. (Just throwing it out there, haha)

My main concern is that my GPA is pretty low - its roughly at a 2.8 (I had to take a year off due to health reasons, grades started slipping heavily because of that beforehand) with the last few semesters pretty strong.

Is a year off recommendable? I would love to go straight into graduate school though... Also, I'm having trouble researching schools that would be a better fit for me. I do remember NYU, USC, Northwestern, UNC-Chapel Hill, BU, Syracuse having good programs when I researched it for undergrad -- I originally considered it but I wanted to explore other options in college. It's been a bit of a roundabout process in a strange way!! I'm a bit iffy if I could get into these schools now, so any suggestions as to where to look or tips would be helpful!

Thanks!
